This week we almost lost the episode. I'm thrilled to write that dropbox stores files so thank God for them. Anyhow we've added a new series of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again this week. But we start with Navy Lark and the episode seeing Red from September 24 1967 then we listen to The Making of Music where we continue to study bethoven by looking at one of his best symphonies. Then as promised we go to April 23 1967 to see the prunes where their story this week is Knights of the Round Table perhaps a bit of Holy Grail's infancy in there. We conclude with Part 3 of Gaudy Night and this I can tell you. Lord Peter is back from Rome. Enjoy. We ... have finally returned and while the show isn't as long right now as you've come to expect in the past we hope that with a few shorter shows as we ease our way back in you'll be forgiving. So please enjoy our offerings. We start with Navy Lark and listen to what happens when the ship celebrates an important aniversary. We then move to the history of music where we'll be discussing the French Revolution and per the request of Eric Troup we'll be beginning Gaudy Night a five part Peter Whimsay serial. For the first time it's in stereo. Hey Lynette, I'm back to stay. Hope you all enjoy. |

We're making a return. Yes we're back for the present. This week as I'm frantically searching for stuff to play ... more on that next week I promise we have an interview I conducted with the podcast reporter fred Castaneda from www.podcastreporter.com. It's all about the Hammer film studios of England which brought us great films like "A Study in Terror," and of course Frankenstein. Please enjoy and we'll have John Lingard soon to discuss Brexit, Boris Johnson and my personal favorite cricket. It's good to be back.

This is not a numbered episode but it is a brief episode to explain our absence and also to explain that our absence is going to be a lot lengthier. I had a listener some months back who sent an email that said "This is a great podcast, I just wish it was consistent," so it is for that listener why we'gve produced this episode. I don't know how long we'll be gone and there are myriads of people to thank which we hhave done on the show. Special thanks go to especially @disneyindiana @wttm and radiooutofthepast.org pleaase listen and if you have any questions email brunchwiththebrits@gmail.com

Shakespeare once said, “If music be the food of love play on,” and if you love music, you’ll love what we have this week. First some good news. I’m not going to talk very much. It’s because we’ll be listening to “Amadeus,” by Peter Shafer but before we do we’ll be looking at Mozart through some of his best music along with James Nochte from July 2, 2007. “Amadeus,” is from 2006 and stars Paul Schofield as Salieri and Simon Callow as Mozart. Please enjoy. A slight word of warning. The play does contain some language and scenes that should not be listened to by all. My friend Scott over in Disney Indiana when he promotes the show says it like this “Keep the little ears covered,” however, this is something they too will appreciate in twenty years. Enjoy.

As we begin our 454th get together, we begin going through the request vault. While it is dusty and sadly not used enough, we thought it high time to honor our friend Julie Anne with a long over do request. So Julie Anne after we study the work of Heyden in the twentieth episode of The Making Of Music, a nice relaxing start to the show, it’s back to Portsmouth fortwo episodes of Navy Lark. We’re in series 9 and its episodes 6 and 7. After a full hour of adventure and mayhem in Portsmouth Harbor, it’s time to revisit our old friend The Saint and listen to the 1995 adaptation of The Saint Plays with Fire. Alas it’s mono, but hey it’s great. Please enjoy.
