This episode begins what I hope will become a favorite series for us as we'll begin learning about English history. We're starting "This Sceptred Isle," with an episode entitled "Land of The Druids." Then we'll cross over to our favorite naval draft and find out what happens when the unit comfort fund gets revissited. We then pause to play a round ... the first ever round of "My Music," and end with Sherlock Holmes and "The Blue Carbuncle." Happy New Year and enjoy.

It's a Christmas brunch loaded with friends food and frivolity. Friends well we'll meet John Lingard a friend in Lincoln England who will continue our education on English Christmas traditions. Then for the meat of the brunch a surprise. It's Ilyria in the 1920s and you're invited to quite the Christmas party. The sound is awesome the music even better. To round out the show Matt Cox gives you a brunch preview of 2010. Finally thanks for making bBrunch the show it is. And a special Christmas message from Twitch the Cat ... and a few friends too. P.s. If you're wondering what the play is Scott and Tracie from Disney Indiana will be by to help us.

This week is kind of different at the brunch studios. First we listen to a big band program from 1936 as Henry Hall entertains with Christmas and other dance tunes. Then we return to our naval draft and see what happens when a sea lord comes to inspect them. Then the meat of the brunch. It's Christmas in the UK and we'll begin our own celebrations by seeing what goes on at the UK pavillion. Joining Matt for this lively festive discussion will be Scott and Tracie Morris aka the first family of Disney Indiana http://www.disneyindiana.com and Scott Viers aka the Mortis http://www.themortis.com and don't forget next week for the big 100 we'll be learning about Christmas in the UK from England.

Before we hear "A Christmas Carrol," we'll listen to our weekly dose of Navy Lark. Troutbridge has been commissioned to take guests to the South Pole. Question is does Mr. Philipps know where south is? The next two episodes contain two very different Christmas themed discussions. Enjoy.

I don't mind saying that when we end Churchill's Bodyguard this week I feel a bit emotional. A thirteen week series ... well it's a quarter of a year. The Navy Lark continues though with the episode "Johnson Finds Treasure," and then we listen to Agatha Christies Adventure of The Christmas Pudding. If you've never listened to John Moffett as Hercule then you're in for a treat. David Bales should just be finishing "The Mysterious Affair at sStyle." Enjoy and early Christmas and holiday greetings.

In Churchill's Bodyguard the war is almost over. As the Navy Lark episode for this week is missing from the collection we'll start our Christmas with an episode of Dial M For Pizza and finish that series. Then we'll finish "The Quiet American." Stay tuned for a special announcement from Matt about wher you can find otr starting next week.

This time nothing from Twitch the cat but more from the Avengers. Just what does a char lady have to do with secret Government plots? How does Rodney get away? And will John and Emma get any closer to the problem's vortex? Enjoy this Avengers episode. |
