We're making a return.  Yes we're back for the present.  This week as I'm frantically searching for stuff to play ... more on that next week I promise we have an interview I conducted with the podcast reporter fred Castaneda from www.podcastreporter.com.  It's all about the Hammer film studios of England which brought us great films like "A Study in Terror," and of course Frankenstein.  Please enjoy and we'll have John Lingard soon to discuss Brexit, Boris Johnson and my personal favorite cricket.  It's good to be back.

This week we listen to The Holly and The Ivy from 1971.  We'll also have one episode of Navy Lark and we hope you enjoy.

Shakespeare once said, “If music be the food of love play on,” and if you love music, you’ll love what we have this week.  First some good news.  I’m not going to talk very much.  It’s because we’ll be listening to “Amadeus,” by Peter Shafer but before we do we’ll be looking at Mozart through some of his best music along with James Nochte from July 2, 2007.  “Amadeus,” is from 2006 and stars Paul Schofield as Salieri and Simon Callow as Mozart.  Please enjoy.  A slight word of warning.  The play does contain some language and scenes that should not be listened to by all.  My friend Scott over in Disney Indiana when he promotes the show says it like this “Keep the little ears covered,” however, this is something they too will appreciate in twenty years.  Enjoy.

As we begin our 454th get together, we begin going through the request vault.  While it is dusty and sadly not used enough, we thought it high time to honor our friend Julie Anne with a long over do request.  So Julie Anne after we study the work of Heyden in the twentieth episode of The Making Of Music, a nice relaxing start to the show, it’s back to Portsmouth fortwo episodes of Navy Lark.  We’re in series 9 and its episodes 6 and 7.  After a full hour of adventure and mayhem in Portsmouth Harbor, it’s time to revisit our old friend The Saint and listen to the 1995 adaptation of The Saint Plays with Fire.  Alas it’s mono, but hey it’s great.  Please enjoy.

They signed documents ... I produced a podcast and I'm not gonna lie it's really butifull you're going to love it.  We've got Peter Whimsay ... Eric Troup loves that guy prunes?  I try and get my North Koreaan friend to enjoy prunes but we've got a long way to go.  Also there's Navy Lark and we learn about St Matthew's passion and no it's not Manchester United.  Enjoy.

You know we're about to hit 450 but let's enjoy 449 first.  We'll start with the prunes in which we'll finally get to the dungeons of the cruel Caliph then it's a bit about Bach in Leipzig with a little fun thrown in at Bach's expense and at the expense of a few birds who probably should be on a lady's hat but due to their on going gig tthat's lasted oh 55 years well ... back to brunch.  We help a ddistressed seaaman fishing in Daanish waters just wait until you find out who the seaman is and if that weren't enough Lord Whimsay is off to France.  Have a great week.  Email the show at brunchwiththebrits@gmail.net and join the lively group on facebook.
